Marketing Opportunity Audit
Get More Leads With the Marketing Assets You Already Have
I love watching those reality TV shows where an interior decorator comes in and turns a ho-hum living space into something fresh and new by simply using items the homeowner already has in her home.
I’ve found that a similar principle holds true to B2B business owners and marketers.
You often have the marketing assets you need to achieve marketing success — you’re just not using them most effectively.
That’s where my Marketing Opportunity Audit comes into play. Here’s how it works:
Let’s say you want to do a lead generation campaign but you’re hesitating because you’re wondering if you should skip email and use direct mail or social media. Plus, you haven’t had too much luck with email in the past.
You call me — which starts the following five-step process:
1. Initial call — I talk with you about your business, your goals, and what you’ve done with regard to marketing in the past. I ask if you have a budget, a list and an offer and what you want to achieve with your lead generation campaign.
2. Agreement / Proposal – You agree to have me perform a complete Marketing Opportunity Audit. I send you a proposal; you send me a 50% deposit.
3. Research and analysis — I go back and do research. I look at previous email campaigns, your results, your lead generation process, and anything you have that can be repurposed into an offer (if you don’t have one).
But I don’t stop there. I also look at your Website and analytics, your e-newsletter (if one exists), your social media profiles, and any other marketing asset you have.
4. Report and phone consultation — I then deliver a full report that includes:
- Recommended changes. These can include anything and everything from optimizing your Website to incorporating your blog into your newsletter and social media profiles.
- Ideas for attracting prospects or developing content. This is what my clients love best as I often give them ideas they hadn’t thought of. For example, I told one client to add a simple “Request a Demo” button to his Website — something he hadn’t even considered.
- A custom campaign strategy. You get a complete roadmap on how to proceed that’s based on your goals, budget, existing resources, and timeline. I do not use cookie cutter approaches!
5. Implementation — Once the Audit is complete, you can either have me implement your project, do it yourself, or use a combination of the two.
Either way, the Marketing Opportunity Audit is a win-win-win for you as you get my expert analysis of your marketing and how you can make it better.
You’re then able to bring your marketing up to snuff so that when you do send out that email campaign, you’re not sabotaging it with a poor Website, landing page, spotty lead gen process, etc.
