Scott, leading provider of ideas, issues ground-breaking manifesto
October 12, 2006 -- The blogosphere -- David Scott, a leading provider of innovative marketing and PR ideas, issued his second ground-breaking report, The Gobbledygook Manifesto, regarding the cutting-edge copy marketers use to promote mission-critical products and services.
Comments David Scott:
Many of the thousands of Web sites I've analyzed over the years and the hundred or so news releases I receive each week are laden with these meaningless gobbledygook adjectives. So I wanted to see exactly how many of these words are being used and created an analysis to do so.Marketers can find the report at Scott's acclaimed blog, Web Ink Now. Scott, a prominent thought leader in the blogosphere, recently spearheaded the cutting-edge, award-winning viral campaign, "The New Rules of PR." In addition, Scott, who brings decades of experience to his work, is a frequent speaker for an array of industry events and conferences, and is a freelance contributor to the industry-leading Web 2.0 publication eContent. His critically acclaimed books, "Cashing In with Content," and "Eyeball Wars" were both Amazon best-sellers. Ha! Diana, you are so clever. Now why didn’t I think of doing a news release like this? Damn, how cool.
Actually I am likely to do a news release just to see what happens, you know, getting the ideas out to a wider audience. But based on the topic of The Gobbledygook Manifesto, I’m petrified that I’ll use one of my no-no words…
Thanks for the post!

David, You have completely frightened me with your Manifesto. I know I use some of those no-no words. They are like mold — they creep up on you without you realizing it.
